Some Information about Plumbing and Plumbing tools

A plumbing fixture is a device which is part of a system to deliver and drain away water, but which is also configured to enable a particular use. The most common plumbing fixtures are: water closets (WC) (known as toilets in the USA, loos, flush, toilets or lavatories in Britain), urinals, lavatories (also called bathroom sinks), kitchen sinks, utility sinks, bathtubs, showers and bidets. Each of these plumbing fixtures has one or more water inlets and a drain. In some cases, the drain has a device that can be manipulated block the drain to fill the basin of the fixture. DO - If the water leak is below the toilet, first check the water pipe where tank and bowl are connected together. If there is no sign of water on the floor around the pipe, chances are your toilet needs to be lifted and a new wax ring installed (refer to toilet installation).

DO - If you go on vacation or are away from home for a few days, always shut off your water supply to your home.

DO - Keep heat on where water pipes and drain pipes are located in your home, when temperature is 32 degrees or colder.
